Besides producing the globally famous delicacy 'honey,' obtained from the nectar collected from flowers by none other than bees.

The Jataí bee (Tetragonisca angustula) is native to Brazil, known for its versatility and adaptability in urban environments. These golden-yellow bees, which lack stingers, build nests in various places, from electrical boxes to tree hollows, making them a robust species amidst environmental challenges..

Mandaguari

The Mandaguari bees, including the varieties Scaptotrigona Xanthotricha (Yellow Mandaguari) and Scaptotrigona Postica (Black Mandaguari), are native to Brazil and known for their defensiveness. They build hives in tree hollows and produce high-quality honey, propolis, and pollen, with unique characteristics in each variety.

The Plebeia droryana, known as the "mirim mosquito," is a common stingless social bee in Brazil. It is docile and nests in various places, such as trees and embankments. Their nests have elaborated entrances made of propolis and are not closed at night. It produces appreciated honey, although in limited quantities.
